Paul has been an active member of the Governing Body at Hempland Primary School since 2012. Since joining he has been a part of the Finance and Staffing Committee, the Premises Committee and was elected as Chair of the Working Party, which was responsible for investigative work and the collection, processing and presenting of the findings to the Full Governing Body as regards the decision making process to become an Academy School as part of a Multi Academy Trust.
Paul’s contribution and competence was reflected in his election as Chair of Governors in September 2015. He is passionate about raising achievements and maintaining outstanding teaching and learning. He has a close link with a current Year Two class which he has mentored since the children started school in Early Years. Paul is self-motivated and disciplined; he embraces challenge and continually sets himself high targets. He has strong vision and a desire to accomplish. His core strengths are problem solving and strategic planning.
Paul has over twenty five years’ experience of running several successful companies in various business areas. He has overseen several company conceptions and has been responsible for their growth and development. He has successfully negotiated the sale of various companies both part of and whole. He is continually looking to develop himself personally; this is evidenced by the varying and senior roles Paul has held including Finance Director, Business Development Director, Managing Director and Non-Executive Director/Chair.
Paul is currently a director of a rapidly growing online sales company. He is married and an active family man with three children.
